Homeless Prevention - Housing Retention Program Information

Through the Housing Retention Program, OSH seeks to assist a minimum of 310 households who face possible eviction and/or dislocation from their homes. In an effort to concentrate the housing retention services in specific high-risk neighborhoods in Philadelphia, each of selected providers has been assigned to specific zip code areas in which to concentrate its recruitment/service efforts.

Assistance available through the Housing Retention Program is limited to the following activities: rent, mortgage, and utility assistance, with priority given to rent and mortgage assistance. Utility assistance can only be granted when no other utility assistance is available.

Applications for Housing Retention assistance are available at the following community organizations: Diversified Community Services-Dixon House, Korean Community Development Services Center, Carroll Park Community Council, Inc., and Congreso de Latinos Unidos.
