The state Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) is making available $1.5M statewide for projects proposing to serve "underserved populations" or implement "pilot initiatives"; and $585,287 for "legal services" to be funded with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Rehousing dollars. Requests may be $50-$200k total for three years. Non profits are eligible to apply, but must apply through the County/City of Philadelphia. Note that applicants for "legal services" should apply under the "underserved populations" category.
Organizations that intend to apply for this opportunity are requested to notify the City's Office of Supportive Housing (OSH) via email (roberta.cancellier@phila.gov) of your intent to apply and anticipated amount of request by close of business Friday 6/5/09. Notice of intent does not require you to submit an application.
The state has not yet issued application forms, but on 6/1 issued draft guidelines to allow you to begin work on your application. Applications are due to OSH Friday 6/12/09 close of business via email (roberta.cancellier@phila.gov) so the City can compile and submit timely to DCED on your behalf.
