How many people are homeless in Philadelphia?

The City has two methods for tracking the number of homeless individuals in Philadelphia:

• Shelter Census: a daily report from all city shelters of the number of individuals registered in the shelter system
• Street Count: a quarterly phsysical count conducted by Project H.O.M.E. Outreach Coordination Center
