Mission
The mission of the Office of Supportive Housing is to plan for and assist individuals and families in moving toward independent living and self-sufficiency, with the end goal being households thriving in safe and stable housing located in supportive communities.

Recent Accomplishments
- Creating Homes, Strengthening Communities, & Improving Systems: Philadelphia's Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness, endorsed by the Honorable Mayor John F. Street
- Diversion program: Diverting 150 individuals experiencing homelessness from emergency housing and providing a means of returning to safe, stable, & dignified housing in the community

Shortening the average length of stay in emergency housing while providing quality shelter and services

Implementation of Philadelphia's third Housing First Program: Utilizing the Housing First model to target families living with disabilities and having involvement in multiple social service systems

Establishment of Philadelphia's First Engagement Center: Utilizing a low-demand apporach to engagement, Grace Cafe' provides a space for individuals experiencing homelessness to engage with Outreach staff in an non-threatening maner

Project Homeless Connect: Philadephia joined 20 other cities across the country in a one day event to engage and house 106 individuals experiencing homelessness

Launch of a citywide hotline for survivors of domestic violence
