McAuley House

McAuley House is a transitional residence providing social services and shelter to homeless women 18 years or older who are medically fragile due to AIDS.

Because many of its clients have mental health issues or substance abuse histories, McAuley House offers outpatient mental health and addiction treatment services through partnerships with a number of community-based service providers. McAuley House also provides residents with AIDS education and support, as well as the treatment for the physical side effects of AIDS.

In addition to individual case management services, McAuley House offers its residents life skills classes designed to develop self-sufficiency and prepare their re-entry into the community. These services include classes on budgeting, cooking, and instruction on day-to-day self-care for women with AIDS.
