The Asociación de Puertorriqueños en Marcha, Inc. was founded in 1970 to promote the welfare rights of the Puerto Rican / Latino citizens of the Greater Philadelphia area. APM Inc. strongly advocates self-dependency within the Puerto Rican / Latino community and encourages cooperation among all communities of the Greater Philadelphia area.
APM Inc. offers family emergency shelter to women with young children, women living in unsafe or overcrowded homes, or women who have become homeless due to domestic violence.
APM Inc. provides these women with temporary, safe living arrangements. Case management services are also provided to allow the women an opportunity to find permanent housing, stabilize their personal lives, and take advantage of city services.
